I would like to talk about a mistake I made during my final year of university. At the time, I was juggling a lot of coursework, and I needed to travel back to my university campus for a joint presentation with a classmate. I was in a rush while booking my train ticket online late at night, and without double-checking the details, I accidentally selected the wrong month for my departure. This happened about two years ago while I was staying in my dorm room. Because I was completely exhausted from studying, I just clicked through the confirmation screens without paying close attention to the dates printed on the digital ticket. The mistake primarily affected me and my project partner, Sarah. On the morning of the presentation, I showed up at the train station expecting to board, only to be told by the conductor that my pass was valid for the following month. Since all other trains were fully booked that morning, I could not make it to campus on time. Sarah had to present our entire joint project alone, which put immense pressure on her and slightly lowered our overall grade. Looking back, I learned a crucial lesson about attention to detail and time management. I realized that trying to multitask when tired leads to avoidable errors. Now, whenever I make important reservations or handle key tasks, I always pause, slow down, and double-check all the information before hitting confirm.
