JAM questions
What is JAM (Just A Minute)?
JAM is a speaking exercise: you get a topic and speak about it for one minute without stopping, hesitating or repeating yourself. Schools, colleges and interviews use it to build fluency and confidence.
How do I prepare for a JAM round?
Use a simple structure: start with one clear sentence, give two or three points with an example each, and finish with a short conclusion. Practise with different topics every day and record yourself.
How many words is one minute of speaking?
About 120 to 150 words at a natural pace. That is why each sample answer on this page is around 130 to 160 words.
Can I practise JAM topics with feedback?
Yes. Open any topic and tap Practise: you speak for one minute and the AI coach shows what went well and one thing to fix.
