I'd like to talk about the regulation that strictly prohibits drivers from using handheld mobile phones while behind the wheel. In my country, this traffic rule has been around for several years, but it was recently updated to cover any manual interaction with a smartphone, including texting or scrolling through music playlists. This law applies to every single motorist on public roads, whether they are driving a private vehicle, a commercial truck, or even riding a motorcycle. There are no exceptions for age or driving experience, as long as you are operating a motorized vehicle. To comply with this regulation, drivers are expected to put their devices away or secure them in a fixed dashboard mount before starting the engine. If someone needs to navigate or take an urgent call, they must use voice-activated controls or hands-free Bluetooth systems. Otherwise, they have to pull over safely before touching their device. Traffic police enforce this strictly through roadside checks and traffic cameras, issuing heavy fines or penalty points for violations. I strongly believe this regulation is absolutely crucial for modern society. Smartphones are designed to capture our full attention, which creates a massive hazard when combined with driving. Taking your eyes off the road for even a couple of seconds can easily lead to catastrophic accidents. By enforcing this rule, governments encourage responsible tech habits and ultimately save countless lives. Overall, it strikes the right balance between enjoying smart technology and ensuring public safety.
